"Mr. Scarborough's Family" by Anthony Trollope When it comes time for John Scarborough, he's not happy with his choices. His eldest son would seem to be the obvious choice, but his father doesn't believe his legitimacy, particularly not after a string of unseemly behavior makes puts the family's good name at risk. However, his second son doesn't fair much better, seemingly eager to come into his inheritance before his time.
