When a rare first edition of Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children became available in the author’s hometown of Mumbai, Poe and Beattie book a flight immediately and arrive, only to discover that the book is missing and its previous owner murdered. Now, to find the book, they must find a killer. The only problem is that they’re really good at hunting things down.

Will their fervor for a rare book mean the end of their collecting days?
